View Only Mode

From the BC Vault Desktop Application v2.1.0 you can enable BC Vault View only device. This option will allow you to see all your crypto currency wallets anytime, without the need to connect the actual BC Vault Hardware Wallet (with limited view only functionality).

View only device will be exact copy of your BC Vault hardware device WITHOUT the private keys. This replica device will still be encrypted with a password you will set specifically for view only device (you can even leave it empty if you wish so).

If you do not wish to use the view only device anymore, you can simply delete it at any point.

Whenever you will create a new wallet, you will have to recreate/update the view only device. You will be reminded about that when performing the backup (that should be done after creating new wallet)!

Create View only device

1. Go to Settings, Device Settings, View only mode.
2. Click the "Create View only device" button and set a password you would like to use for this view only device:
3. The next time you will run the BC Vault Desktop application you can select the new "View only" device:

Delete View only device

1. Go to Settings, Device Settings, View only mode.
2. Click the "Remove view only device" button:
