Migrate EOS Wallets from BC Vault to Anchor

You can migrate your BC Vault EOS Wallets to Anchor Desktop/Mobile wallet with transfer of the private keys.

Anchor Wallet and LearnMeaBitcoin Website are third-party platforms that are not affiliated with BC Vault. As such, BC Vault cannot guarantee the performance of their products/services or that the steps shown and the information provided will always be accurate.

1. Your BC Vault has to be in IKWID mode to be able to export private keys. Follow this steps first.
2. Once you are in IKWID mode export your EOS Wallet private keys (ONLY EOS WALLETS!). You will get 128 characters (e.g. 12AB64D.....).
3. Take the LAST 64 characters (split string in half and take the second part).
4. Open WIF Private key converter: https://learnmeabitcoin.com/technical/keys/private-key/wif/
5. Copy the 64 characters into the "Private Key" field and set "Compression" to False:
   
6. You will get your WIF formatted EOS private key under "WIF Private Key". It will be 51 characters that start with a number 5.
7. Install Anchor Wallet (Desktop or Mobile).
8. Once installed use "Add Account" and then "Import Private Key" (Import Existing Account on Desktop Application). Detailed Anchor Wallet "Import Wallet" steps are also available here: Desktop and Mobile.
9. Insert the WIF formatted EOS private key (51 characters) and your EOS account will now be fully functional in Anchor Wallet (you will see your wallet name is the same as in BC Vault). Follow Anchor Wallet manual for any operations you want to do after that.
10. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TO MIGRATE FUNDS (TO NEW EOS WALLET OR MIGRATE THEM TO VAULTA) FROM THIS WALLET AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, AS THE PRIVATE KEY WAS EXPOSED AND IS NOT CONSIDERED SECURE ANYMORE!
