Integrity check of transaction data between BC Vault hardware and software

Modified on Tue, 26 May, 2020 at 3:20 PM

The BC Vault hardware wallet always checks that the transaction data sent from the application to the hardware wallet for signing comes back signed with exactly the same details to prevent a possible Man-in-the-Middle attack scenario between the two.

Always check that the transaction details you requested in the software match the transaction details you are confirming on the device - this is why BC Vault features a big OLED display.

Once the signed transaction will come back to the application it will be compared again with the original request.

Should you get any warning about a possible discrepancy of the transaction data please

contact us on support@bc-vault.com as soon as possible!
